"Very disappointing experience. There was no communication from the property before arrival despite five attempts to contact them. We arrived at 5:15pm, well after the 3pm check-in time, yet two people were still in the property washing up and cleaning. Had we arrived at 3pm, the property clearly would not have been ready. The cleanliness was unacceptable. Plates and pans needed washing before use, there were dirty cups in the dishwasher, mouldy cheese in the fridge and a freezer that appeared...

"Do not trust these guys. This property was advertised as available next day for a one night stay so I paid my booking fee in good faith. When I then requested the offline check in form by texting as instructed the host was rude and replied that:- 1. Reservations needed to be made earlier. 2. One night stays were not allowed 3. They had no availability for my booking 4. Their name was Augustine. 5. To ask Hotels.com for a refund. The host then ignored my requests for further assistance so...

Top Borehamwood Hotel Reviews

Park Plaza London Westminster Bridge

10/10 Excellent

"Perfect central Location Great staff"

The Grand at Trafalgar Square

8/10 Good

"Rooms are a bit tired, and they are small. It is an old building but maybe they need to overhaul the plumbing as the shower was very slow to drain away and the toilet didn’t flush properly. The room eventually got warm but it took a while. On the positive it is very well situated and the staff are very friendly and accommodating."

Strand Palace Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This is the hotel I chose for my first trip to London. It’s really close to Covent Garden and also very close to Chinatown. It’s only about a 10-minute walk to Trafalgar Square. Along the way, there are lots of cafés, fast-food places, souvenir shops, and so on. On the side of the hotel, heading toward Covent Garden, there’s an M&S Food Food market. It’s also very convenient to go from the hotel to see the River Thames, the London Eye the Big Ben and The National Gallery... Overall, the hotel has a superb location, the service is good, and the breakfast is very generous—I’d recommend having breakfast at the hotel."

Royal National Hotel

8/10 Good

"Excellent central London location and very near Russell Square underground station. Clean room with comfortable beds. The curtains do not completely cover the window and the hairdryer blows cold. A little noisy as a vast hotel situated around a courtyard with cafes and bars. The double glazing doesn't keep out the noise. A good place to stay if you just need a place to sleep in a great location."
