Hotel is terrible! Rooms where horrendous and freezing and very badly decorated, first night was woken up all night be people screaming outside. Second night had to call police to hotel for dv incident with other guests! Unsafe for children and would bot recommend to anyone!!

Absolutely disgraceful, broken bunk beds so kids slept on the floor, toilet shared by everyone on the landing, no breakfast as the owner was up all night drinking, blood on the mattress, no hand washing facilities in toilet, parties all night which the police broke up at 4:30 I could go on and on but the pictures say it all, please don’t do what I did and think it can’t be that bad, it’s actually worse.

It was amazing. The owners are so so friendly and so welcoming. Really made the stay worth it. The place wouldn’t be half a good without them.

This hotel was disgusting The carpets were really dirty The noise was unacceptable when I was there with 4 children The owners were drunk at night and one of them needed an ambulance due to the drink amount No breakfast aa advised Full of people who were all drunk too Noise carried on until 4am Over priced for the mess of the place Will never be returning

Wasn’t pleased that when I came back on the evening to find my room door wide open someone had been in stolen a bottle of beverage and also left tins of beer and rocked through my jacket and my trainers and bed. Told the landlord but he was hungover from the night before and didn’t even respond

Not impressed
Polite hosts but hotel very very basic. Room tiny, wonky wardrobe and tiny sink and bed pushed into a corner. Very noisy at night with guests under our window shouting and swearing at top of their voices. Mattress on bed about 2 inches thick with devan base with a board nailed to the top. Not comfortable at all. Had we paid £30 a night we wouldn’t have worried but at £255.01 for 2 nights we were not impressed. We won’t be staying or recommending this place to anyone.

Fantastic long break away
This hotel is under new management and the changes are for the better 🙌 family run couldn't do enough for us during our long stay really down to earth people nothing is ever to much the rooms are being freshly painted as we speak and are changing for the better so bare with them as theres alot for them to do but they have some brilliant ideas and changes for the future of the hotek and guests we loved or stay and have definitely made an extended family will be going bk no doubt about that

Absolutely awful hotel, bar downstairs was like a nightclub, room was discussing, there were sex parties in both rooms either side of ours, people fighting in the early hours, pipes banging all night, musty smell, would avoid at all costs

All the bad reviews are true, only cold water, towels (had to stole them from different room as our did not have any) and bedding smells like it was washed in water only. Heating works in a few rooms, main doors does not lock properly so don't be surprised that people leave them open. No owner, one guy from different hotel showed us the room, told us that guy who owns this place just left it on its own. So one night (we stayed for two) random people were in corridor and smoke weed. No communal room with pool or bar. Only 2 showers for all guests (15 rooms)

You get what you pay for, i wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone, nobody to get the keys off once getting the keys the room was cold, damp and out dated. There was nothing nice about the room but it was clean. It had rained all night and the ceiling was sagging and water all over the stairs and floorboards. No owner in sight just the odd cleaner so nobody to report this too. One of the worst hotels i have ever stopped in should really be called a hostel not an hotel.

This place is absolutely disgusting, broken glas to the front main door, soaking wet mat that was a health and safety issue. Freezing cold, dirty room. No hot water, no form of heating whatsoever. Curtains that fall off when you draw them shut and the one that didn’t fall off was 2ft to short. It says check out is 11am but we had a knock on the door at 10am telling us we had to leave now. My only recommendation is AVOID AT ALL COST. PLACE IS DISGUSTING AND SHOULD VE SHUT DOWN.

The couple that run the Jesmond are lovely. I was playing a gig at the Winter Gardens and they let me check in early and helped me with my gear. I felt in safe hands. The room was really clean and had everything I needed. The breakfast was fantastic as well.

It is very basic but you get what you pay for. We just wanted somewhere to lay our heads and that is exactly what it is. Room was clean but wasn't impressed by the litter outside my bedroom window.

Very poor hotel wouldn't recommend
Comfy enough but certainly not the nicest place I stayed. The heater was hanging off the wall the curtains were off the rails there was no toilet roll in the shared toilet. A very run down hotel needs a lot of updating. Would not recommend to any friends or family. The area was very loud and boisterous and there was no parking area had to use local car park costing £12 for 24hours.
