"Enjoyed our stay at the castle. Staff were friendly and efficient giving great service. The courtyard rooms are small but well furnished and comfortable, also I thought great value. However we decided to upgrade to a larger state room and the staff were really helpful in enabling us to do that. You can really immerse yourself in the castle experience.The room was surprisingly warm as obviously no double glazing. Breakfast was excellent. If you are looking for a true castle experience you won't be disappointed. "

"Room which was at the front of the property overlooked the car park. Single glazed windows which you could hear absolutely everything happening outside from but also which rattled throughout the night with the wind. Found the mattress uncomfortable and on the firm side for me so taking everything into account, had a very disrupted sleep. Was woken abruptly by a fire alarm going off for a few seconds. Limited choices at breakfast but tasted ok. "

"Overall, an excellent stay. Plenty of car parking, very friendly and courteous welcome on check in and from everyone, room was spacious and tastefully decorated, with good facilities. Property is right next to the busy A1 dual carriageway, but you wouldn't know it inside with the windows closed. Only negative for me was having to preorder breakfast the night before, including time and even tea or coffee! Whilst understanding it is much more convenient for the property that way, I do not necessarily know what I will fancy after a night's sleep. That said, the breakfast was truly superb (as was the evening meal the previous evening)"

"The lady on reception was lovely, her name Larysa and she upgraded my sister and I to a prestige room with dressing gowns, slippers, a king size bed, complimentary drinks in the fridge, chocolate cinder toffee and a coffee machine, lovely touches and thank you so much! "
