"The location was in a great place. It was within walking distance from the city center. There were several buses 2 blocks away. The room was very small."

"Ideally located for access to city amenities within walking distance. However, on-site parking is extremely limited with even less recognisable parking that can be easily accessed. Alternative parking at MonkBar is a viable alternative and is a 5 minute walk away. Do check on the Council website for details on parking prices and which App to use as this information is out of date on both the hotel and Expedia information."

"Basic room, a little dated but all we needed was supplied for one night in York at a family wedding We had 4 in a room so space was tight but knew it would be! Not sure we could have done it for a week! So convenient as right In heart of the city"

"Really great hotel with so much attention to detail. Record players in the room and a huge selection of records is a really nice touch. The Radio was on when we arrived to our room and the Pantry is generous & a really unique touch. Canadian lady on the Bar was knowledgeable & super friendly (Pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the extensive bar menu was priced). Just really really cool & great location."

The outdoor beer garden was a great place to enjoy an afternoon drink, and family friendly for our five-year-old to join. The hotel was located a short distance from the Bootham Bar entrance to the city centre and conveniently located near other amenities."
