"We had an amazing weekend for our anniversary! From the moment of booking I had great communication with the owners who were very responsive and accommodating. Our cottage was very comfy, cosy and clean. The facilities are amazing with dog paddocks, entertainments (pool table, football table, table tennis, board games, a great wide selection of dvds for the whole family, a kids corner with toys and books). "The property was as described and was clean and comfortable and in a good location. Check in was easy. However this is the only property I have EVER stayed in that didnt provide any tea coffee milk etc. Even budget hotels do this. It made the place seem unwelcoming and meant we hsd nothing to drink on arrival after a long journey. The same applies to the minute amount of hand soap provided. Also, a bin bag would have been useful. Parking was ok but was on the street and at a distance...fine...

"The plus side: Nice clean cottage, welcome basket with fresh bread, haribo sweets, wine. Flowers on table, tea, coffee, sugar and even treats for the dog. Sky/netflix. Bed very comfy. Nice white towels. Good communication from owner. 2 local pubs- the Nelson ...no food gd beer. Rising sun, pub grub. Both friendly pubs. negative side: Right on a very busy,noisy road. We could not work out why so many lorries etc cut through there. We did sort of get used to the noise except early...

"In an idyllic setting, an excellent base for holidaying around Matlock/Derbyshire . Everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The welcome pack included a bottle of my wife's favourite wine. The owner checked to see if everything was to our satisfaction. Would certainly recommend it. "
