"It’s an original amongst the new surrounding building and hotels but a prime location for family with younger kids, was quiet at night, and we had the whole mother’s beach site to ourselves with a very large playground and clean water shore the next day. Nearby walkable breakfast cafes and restaurants made up for not having breakfast on site. We had to ask for extra towels but there is a sign to ask in the front if needed, not a big deal."

From the moment I arrived, it felt less like checking into a hotel and more like being welcomed into a beautiful home away from home. As a solo mum travelling with a little one, the kindness and warmth from the staff meant the world. Every single person was exceptionally caring, supportive and genuinely lovely. That family feel is what makes this place so incredibly special and completely different from a standard hotel experience. The room was honestly one of the nicest I’ve ever stayed in. I had the most beautiful balcony view overlooking the marshlands by the Ballona Wetlands near Playa del Rey beach, with birds and wildlife everywhere. It felt peaceful, calming and completely removed from the chaos of travel. The bed was absolute heaven — a stunning four-poster bed with the cosiest blankets and huge squishy pillows that made it incredibly hard to leave in the morning. And the bathroom… wow. The huge tub felt more like a private spa or hot tub, and I ended up having two long baths during my overnight stay simply because it was so wonderfully relaxing. Breakfast was also absolutely delicious, with beautiful fresh strawberries, bagels, hot drinks and everything presented so thoughtfully and beautifully. The location is also perfect for anyone needing an airport stopover. It’s only around 20 minutes"
