"The Kinney Hotel was exactly what we wanted - simple, clean, spacious, with secure parking. The room had everything we needed and felt really comfortable. The standout however was definitely the location - it is right off of Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Overall it was a really positive experience and I'd definitely consider coming back when visiting Los Angeles. "

"Wcould not check in till 4 or pay additional 50. The gentlemen who check us in was rude. Instead of handing us all papers to fill out before 4 he made everybody wait. That took additional 30 minutes. Once we had the key I went into room found no towels and one small soap as big as your finger nail. Outside patio had dead plants and need to be painted. Not worth $300 a night."

"This was a great no-frills stay: very clean, spacious, and simple room; very friendly and helpful front-desk staff (shoutout to John and another employee — they were both great!); and an overall-safe feeling (besides one section of rooms that face the street, you had to use your hotel key to access the internal hallways). Parking on site was also included, which was a huge perk. I’d stay again!"

"Johan who checked us in is unfamiliar with the surroundings. He was not aware of the many dining options within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Also visitors should know that Venice Beach is a 15 minute walk from the hotel. We were allowed an hour extra for checkout( noon instead of 11am) but our room key stopped working at 11. There was a delay in a request for extra towels and pillows. "
