"The onsen is amazing. "

"The staff were amazing and extremely helpful. Provided what we needed at request. We wish was that in them knowing we had a vehicle, that they were able to direct us to a nearby parking lot with affordable pricing. The signs are confusing at times. We ended up paying ¥3400 the first night for overnight parking and ¥6100 the second night in the nearby lots. Other than that, the room was clean except a little black mold near the AC unit. Deep. cleaning could be better. Happy with our 2 night stay...

"This was a secure ryokan with only 3 rooms on the top floor. We could store our luggage there before our check in and for a few hours after checkout, which was really helpful. Toilet upstairs near the room but shower in the onset area (spa not traditional onset). But noisy with creaky floor at night. Smell of sewage in room at night, but not too strong and mitigated by use of aircon all night for ventilation. Overall it was a really nice stay, with gorgeous breakfast (self made but ingredients...

"It was about 15 minutes walk from Odawara train station. There’s many steep stairs to third floor outside of building. We stayed Carol room for 8 nights which is next to Dada room. This Dada room’s bed(couch) attaches to the wall of Carol room. Walls are thin and noise like TV and talking on the phone kept us awake every night. Air conditioner/heater wasn’t working properly. The description indicates TV in living room but there’s no TV. Toilet was a bit old and smelly. Will not stay again. "

"Its a very quiet, beautiful spot close to stations to travel to hakone and the baths were lovely! Its nice to walk around the area. The man running the hotel spoke english pretty well, my non japanese speaking friend had no issues at all. The bedding is futons and it was more comfortable then the hotel we previously stayed at and was perfect for our single night stay"

"お宿から降りてすぐの日の出浜で波の音を聴きながらゆっくり過ごしました。 お宿近くの岡田港の周辺は食事ができるところが元町港に比べて少ないようですが、舟吉さんで2食付き、港の施設のレストランで昼食を取れるので特に問題ありませんでした。私は食べる機会がありませんでしたが近くにはパン屋さんなどもあるようです。 お宿は清潔でご飯も美味しく、ご主人方もとても親切にしてくださいました。その日のスケジュールの相談や荷物預かりなど、心配事を相談すると真摯にお答えくださいます。お宿は山にも近いのですが部屋の窓をしっかり閉めれば虫なども問題なかったです。(もし万が一出たとしてもご主人にお願いすればすぐに対処してくださいます) 個人的な話ですが、初めての女一人旅でこんなに素敵なお宿に宿泊出来たことはとても幸いでした。伊豆大島の一人旅で宿にお悩みの方は是非、ゲストハウス舟吉さんを検討なさってみてください！"

"チェックイン時に、設備など丁寧に説明していただきました。 歴史のある建物なので壁は薄いです。 私は疲れていたので爆睡でしたが、繊細な方は気になるかもしれません。 受付に「ご自由にどうぞ」の耳栓ありましたので、使うといいかもしれないです。 ベッドがすべすべで寝心地最高でした。 他にもありがたかったのが、何時でも外出可能なことです！ ホテルの駐車場はありませんが、近くで駐車場を貸し出している家があります。 別サイトで事前予約しておいたので、700円以下で夕方～10:00まで駐車できました。 ご参考までに！"

"自室から隣地の廃墟(元ホテル?)や伸び放題の雑草が見える。料理は品数だけは多いが記憶に残るものはない。 ただ、温泉だけは良かった。日帰り温泉でもやっていたらまた来たいと思うが・・・。 "

"Well decorated, but the bathroom wasn’t clean, Onsen was burning hot, washing machine didn’t work, they have a book of rules, and I got locked out at 9:25PM. I rarely write bad reviews, but this place was not good."

"This is function more like BnB than an actual hotel. The check in was confusing, staff were non existence, there is only one bus line that run every 30min, and completely stop about 8pm. The sidewalk is narrow and share the same road as cars, it's especially dangerous at home with limited views. There are no diner nearby and everything closes at around 6pm. "

"Amazing & clean hot springs baths, nice kitchen appliances & utensils, too bad no washer in room. Walk uphill to Atami Station is hard if has heavy luggage, might need taxi if elderly travelers, unless u are in good physical condition."
