"Strengths: Platinum room was large with a private balcony, came with benefits (access to Platinum pool, beach and private dinners). Close to pools/beach/food. Free shuttles all day around property. Many activities for all ages (live music, pool parties, water yoga, etc.). Variety of food options. Close to airport. Friendly staff. Beach was gorgeous and provided sun/shaded areas to spend the day. Things to consider: Hard to get change for tipping, buffet food was generally mediocre, noticeable wear in certain aspects of the hotel room (rusted and overused tub, etc.), some activities were not well advertised (food tent at the beach, pop-up market, music at the main bar, etc.), strong entrepreneurial culture-can be intrusive at times (mostly off property), the free wifi goes in and out often. Recommendations: Preplan to get cash for tipping, book your restaurant reservations day one (wifi goes in and out so using the reservation app can be tricky), bring your Platinum towel to the pools and beach, you can only get a fresh towel at the Platinum pool, eat the Paella cooked in the tent by the food trucks (delicious), grab a map at check-in and learn the free shuttle stops. No elevators, request ground level rooms if needed. "
