"Beautiful old building with spacious rooms but ambience and decor are stunted by poor management and maintenance. The bed frame was too big for the mattress, leaving a 1/2 foot gap all round the bed in which the meagre pillows often got lost. The mattress was too big for the bed linen. "I had a lovely stay, staff were friendly and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean, a little noise from the motorway but nothing too loud. Breakfast was amazing, with plenty to choose from. Staff were friendly and polite. I would recommend this hotel for all of the above reasons, and it is not far into London on the motorway or go to Uxbridge and get on the underground. Windsor isn’t far for the Castle and Legoland, and a little further Thorpe Park."
