"Really clean, nice hotel with helpful staff. Stayed for 3 nights, located in the museum quarter so lots do close by, next to a the beautiful park. Hired bikes from the hotel which is a great way to get around the city, also on the main tram line to make getting around easy also. "

"We’ve stayed at the Old Ship several times, as it tends to be the best value for money. We love the central sea front location (and are prepared to put up with a bit of city noise… the complimentary ear plugs are a nice touch), sea views are well worth paying a bit extra for, and we even enjoy the 100 year old lift …. on the occasional time it arrives before we opt for the stairs instead (it is described optimistically as ‘a bit slow’). Very pleasant staff too. Looking forward to our next stay. "

"Being an older building it has it's quirks which add to the charm. The hotel is across from the beach and an easy walk to shopping and restaurants. Recommend the breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful."
