"Serene hotel near the beach"
Reached resort on the night of the 1st bombing. In fact we were nearby the night market but did not hear anything besides my wife seeing a lot of ambulances & police cars. 2rd day morning, bombing again, near clock towel which we were waiting there the previous night for our resort shuttle van. Close shave! isn't it.....certain roads are closed & all shopping malls too. But we still managed to ventured to "Vana Nava waterpark" which is open, very fun & excited with all the slides. 3rd day, all things back to normal. Went to "Siam Milsim" for a little army daze action. Riding ATV, shooting zombies, fun but a little exhausted. For lunch, went to Market Village shopping mall. Lots of eateries & shopping to offer. Dinner to "Cicada" night market. Not to miss out, cause much to see & eat. Food is reasonably priced & good. Lots of souvenirs, handicrafts & art stuffs, some are really worth buying. Overall experiences, Hua Hin, is a good & nice destination to visit, not to crowded. Thais hospitality is always on the good. Frankly, I won't mind visiting again. Thank you Sincerely K.C

"Utter luxury"
A fantastic hotel in a quieter location right on the beach in Hua Hin, V Villas is a very special place with excellent service provided throughout the hotel. We spent 8 nights in one of their 1 bedroom villas. The villa was beautiful, very spacious and extremely well equipped. We were extremely impressive. The butler service was very impressive - after requesting fresh milk and an ice bucket on day 1, every day thereafter we found more fresh milk and an ice bucket provided. As you walk through their beautiful grounds, or order something in the bar/restaurant staff you've not previously spoken to greet you by name. I highly recommend this hotel for discerning guests wanting luxury, peace and quiet and very high levels of service.

"Great Romantic Getaway!"
September 27th at the beautiful and secluded Aleenta Resort in Pranburi, Thailand. A nice romantic candle-lit dinner for two under the stars on the edge of the Gulf of Thailand. The water illuminated by the green lights of squid fishing boats all along the coast. Lighting flashes over the water in the distance. Our dinner prepared by the kitchen of Michelin chef, James Noble. The moment was perfect, the ring was pulled out of the pocket, and I asked Vicky to be my "phanrayaa". To my delight she smiled shyly and answered "YES!" A night we'll never forget! We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Aleenta. The staff was very courteous, the grounds were beautiful, and everything was top-notch. And we absolutely loved the beach-front cottage with an incredibly comfortable bed, a nice hammock on the porch, and a private jacuzzi. We can't wait to return!

"Beautiful hotel but lack of maintenance "
I booked a one-bedroom deluxe villa for my bf's birthday for 2 nights. The hotel is really beautiful with a private infinity pool attached to each bungalow. The room was very big and the bed was very nice. However, the pool won't work until we asked the staff to start it and it was very dirty and there were dead flies on the surface. The hotel definitely needs a lot of maintenance and defintely is lacking maintenance. On the first night the air conditioning in our room wasn't working (imagine how bad it was without AC in Thailand) and the maintenance guys came in at midnight for an hour. We were both super tired and had to wait until 1am just to get ONE of the AC in our bedroom working (the one in the living room wasn't ). The guys promised to report and fix that next day. We went out very early the next day and came back in the late afternoon. When we got back to our room NEITHER AC was working. We called again and they only offer to come fix them again and never offered to move us to another room until we got upset. They ended up moving us to a two bedroom bungalow but told us not to use one of the rooms because we only paid for one room (which we were fine because we only had 2 persons anyway but it was just the way that they became so stingy, that bothers me but it wasn't the worst thing). The two bedroom was nice with a bigger infinity pool. However it wasn't working AGAIN although when they showed us the room they promised to make it work soon.

The cuisine served at the onsite restaurants at most 5 star Hua Hin hotels rivals the dishes on the menus at many of the town’s standalone eating establishments. Several hotel restaurants also provide stunning garden, beach, or poolside views with their tasty Thai or international meals. Many of these highly rated venues also feature their own bars, but room service and minibars are available for guests who prefer the privacy of their hotel rooms.

Shopping may not the top of your list when it comes to things to do in Hua Hin. But there’s always a few souvenirs, food and clothing you can buy at nearby night markets and beachfront shops in Hua Hin.

One of Hua Hin's best known places to stay, the Grand Hotel, stands next to the location of the Grand Market, where locals do much of their shopping five days per week. Of course, tourists can also frequent the better known Hua Hin Night Market or the more traditional Tuesday Pae market near the Royal Hua Hin Golf Club.
