"I did not realise that we were staying in a plantation village, with multiple accommodation. I had made a request for two beds and, as it was a slow time of year, we got two bedrooms. Pahala is a very cute town (and currently the only one with a grocery store as the one in Naalehu was no longer as at 28 Jan 25). The people were also really friendly. The only thing to consider is the roosters. If you want to sleep in - close the windows. We didn't, as the black sand beach was all ours at sunrise,...

"We had a wonderful stay at the Volcano Forest Inn. The large room, access to the full kitchen/common area, the quiet location surrounded by the rainforest, and the private deck allowed us to enjoy a relaxing visit. "This is a cute hotel. No tv, but our view was amazing, didnt even miss it since the volcano decided to erupt while we were there. So blessed to have witnessed this event. Staff was really nice and accommodating "

"The cottage was fantastic. Had all the amenities. It was in a quiet neighborhood, with a view of a golf course, but easy driving distance to the Volcanoes National Park and the town of Volcano. We were very busy seeing the various attractions of the island, such as waterfalls, the black sand beach and South Point, and hiking in the National Park. We wished we could have spent more time at the cottage. Highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again. "

"A nice, large apartment with a full sized stove/oven and frig (which can get noisy cycling at night). All the amenities of home (except a dishwasher). A large, covered lanai and easy parking. Plus an ecletic bookshelf. Convenient locatino to town and Kilauea. Quiet neighborhood. "

"This is one of few stays that the actual houses is better than in the pictures . House locates on a hill with great ocean view and just 45 mins away from Volcano national park . Owner Ruth is very friendly and provides lots of things for guest, chargers, drinks , snacks and even a massager chair! Wish I can stay longer , definitely 10/10 stay!"
