"I knew the property was a remodeled motel So that being said they did a good job with the exterior ~lots of hanging baskets The breakfast was typical of Major hotels. I liked that you could walk easily to the town and beach We went in April which was cooler than expected The only thing I noticed was not sure it has air conditioning? We didn’t need it but if summer gets hot I’m not sure I would stay there without, I would check"

"We had a great stay. The inn was perfect.. charming, clean, staff friendly. Nice small heated pool. Was in the heart of downtown, easy to walk to all of the shops and restaurants as well as the beautiful beach. Good value and a great short stay."

"The property was nice and quiet. There are chairs by front door if you want to sit down and enjoy tea or a cup of coffee. The inside was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly. I would recommend this establishment. "

"We stayed here for a couple nights after a drive to Big Sur and the 17 mile drive. We loved the hot tub and fireplace! Room was large and decor was pretty and enjoyed the big comfy bed! Could have used a microwave but the fridge was good size. The walk to shopping, restaurant, and the beach was easy. We would recommend this property snd would stay here again. "

"Nice clean room. This is an older property but well maintained. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The only improvement I would suggest is to have a small microwave in the room. The location is excellent, only a few blocks from the center of the village. Price is reasonable for Carmel. They truly are pet-friendly."

"All the inns in Carmel are converted motels - do lower your expectations to start with. This one in particular was so old the walls were paper thin and construction was happening across the street and we stayed in a unit on the corner of an intersection- so we got zero sleep most of the night. There were cobwebs in the corner of the room, no AC- so you have to open the windows- letting in more noise. The bathroom is tiny tiny tiny and old pink tile. Not sure there’s a better option in town but...

PROS: - Very nice, very clean property - Excellent service from bell boy and house keeping - Loved our room, very spacious (Rm #1) - Comfortable bed - Plenty of hot water for showers - Bottled waters every day - Great shampoo, conditioner, body wash CONS: -We stayed in room #1, which was right by the bakery door and one of the resteraunt doors. It wasn't an issue until Friday night when loud people were leaving the resteraunt (We go to bed early). -You can't really...

"Top notch in every way. We’re so glad we chose this motel. It’s in a great location. The valet parking was so convenient with an app to request your car whenever you wanted it. The restaurant was good and nice atmosphere right on the water. Good entertainment in the lobby every evening. "

"Cute little stay! Very old building so please go in with that expectation! Some things like chipped paint/old doors, but certainly not dirty, normal for a vintage stay. Complimentary fruit parfait in the morning was great as well the champagne and cookies in the evening. Was a little expensive for what it was, but I see it definitely fluctuates per weekend, so if you find a good deal would definitely recommend!"

"Extremely underrated. Very good hotel. Clean rooms, renovated bathrooms, very clean and new tiles and clean showers. Gas fireplace was awesome. HBO channel was also a nice touch. Best breakfast ever!!"

"Delightfully charming boutique hotel, just 1 street back from the beach. Room was beautiful with gas fire, fantastic bathroom and bay window looking onto the gardens. Staff were great and went out of their way to help with any request (they even had a chauffeur drop off service for dinner at Pebble Beach) Full Breakfast cooked to order was delicious. Highly recommend this hotel."
