"Very convenient and reasonably priced"
It was very convenient getting to the hotel with the free bus shuttle service from Narita, and returning the next morning. The room and washroom were very clean and useful. It was great having the refrigerator in the room to use overnight for my snacks needed for the flight. All needed items, including great shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and hair dryer were included. The used Wi-Fi was very useful to check in and to get things finalized with my trip to Japan.

"Beautiful grounds and great breakfast"
This was the nicest hotel that we stayed in during our four country trip to Asia. The Grounds were beautiful during Cherry Blossom season in Tokyo (April). The breakfast was excellent with a variety of items. We liked that the bus to Tokyo station stopped right at the hotel. There is a nearby MiniMart to get food items after the hotel restaurants closed.

"A Nice Way To Wind Up A Trip"
I wish I had stayed at this hotel more than an over night stay. The bathroom was clean, and the bath was quite a good size. The staff were lovely & quick. And, the room is spacious. There is even a tradition Japanese Garden atmosphere outside for you to sit and relax in. I had been in Japan for 3 weeks, dealing with mainly budget hotels (which is fine) but most of them are really small, especially the bathrooms and bath tubs. This hotel was a nice way to wind up and relax after 3 weeks of hecticness.

"Amazing place, location, food and service"
We stayed in this ryokan before our flight home. We sent our luggage ahead from Kyoto hotel and when we arrived , bags were in the room already waiting for us. Location is amazing. Our room was beatiful with view of the temple, very clean , spacious, traditional style . food breakfast and dinner delicious with great variety. Great service from check-in to check out. We used the opportunity in the morning before our flight to walk around ithe beatiful Nara park and see the temple and famous Shingon Fire ritual- Goma ceremony. Very close to airport. Would highly recommend this Ryokan, especially if you'd like to stay close to airpot and sill see the beauty of Japanese gardens and temples.

    Pocket Guide: Narita

    About Narita

Narita is the home of Tokyo’s largest international airport, which is why it receives so many visitors each year. On your way into Japan, stop to explore what this small city has to offer. Though Tokyo is only 70kms away, Narita is still very different. The relaxing, laid-back charm of the city is delightful, with old wooden shops quaintly placed along winding streets and alleys. However, come night time, the city does turn into quite a festive place.

    Don’t Miss

There are several noteworthy sites sprinkled throughout Narita. They provide the perfect getaway from the Narita Airport, even if tourists are visiting for just a few hours.

Naritasana Shinsho-ji Temple is the premier tourist attraction in this city. Believed to have been built in 800AD, this ancient site is home to some of the most beautiful Japanese-style pagodas in the country. It rests within a lovely park which is always bustling with locals and visitors.

For tourists who love the winter thrills of snowboarding, going to Kamui Ryugasaki Snowboard Park is a must. This fascinating parkland is a perfect spot for the whole family. Whether visitors are snowboarding experts or are first-timers, Kamui Ryugasaki Snowboard Park can accommodate and entertain all of them.

    Restaurants and Bars

Narita has a large number of restaurants which range from Japanese noodle stores to Western cuisine establishments. However, one of the most popular dishes found in the city is unagi, which is broiled eel. It is mostly served on the street so is available anywhere. Takoyaki, fried octopus balls, is another local favourite. Downtown Narita has several pubs and bars too. They are popular hangouts for airline crew members, so are busy most nights of the week.

There isn’t much in the way of shopping here; however, Narita still features a large AEON department store which is situated a little bit out of town. It is certainly much cheaper than shopping at the airport. When it comes to cheap goods, the entrance to Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple is lined with vendors selling a range of products you can choose from.
