"On site parking, managed to get a space which was good. The hotel is nice and clean. Room was small but good enough for 1 person. It had a chair and a luggage holder as well as multiple hooks on the wall + hangers which was convenient. It also had a smart TV which was good as some hotels don’t. So I was able to log into my Netflix account and watch my shows. (Remember to sign out if you do this) :) It’s close to plenty of shops and restaurants which is good as they’re within walking distance....

"Stayed in one of the lodge rooms after doing the Welsh Three peaks. Being able to park right outside the room was a really helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the half price access to health spa was a real bonus. Will be staying again"

" 11 out of 10! There were four of us--two teens, myself (the mom) and my dad. I had a bit of a time finding reasonable accommodation that would fit us all, but the top floor suite was perfect! With two bathrooms, two bedrooms and a pullout sofa bed, everyone had their own bed (very comfortable beds too!) and space. My teens loved the welcome snacks (they were delicious and gone in a flash), plus we were welcomed kindly when we checked in and asked what we would like to drink. Perfect after a...

"What a fabulous place and amazing owners. Nigel and Clare are just lovely people. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The alpacas, ducks and hens make it a really interesting place to stay as well. Much easier travel into Betws, Conwy and Snowden from this side as well."

"WHAT A FIND!!!! A real gem After being let down with our original booking, we found the Black Lion Hotel. It's set in a small, quiet village near the river. We had a superb evening meal, the pub was busy in both the bar and restaurant area all evening, which is always a good sign.... the food was superb, service was excellent The room we stayed in was quiet, clean, the bathroom was a good size, the bed was comfy. "Richard is very much the 'Host with the Most'. Very chatty and friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. He went above and beyond for us...Carrying our cases up to the top floor...And down again when we left. Plus he does a cracking packed lunch. Our room was more than adequate, comfy and clean. The only gripe from our point of view is that we'd prefer proper cups and spoons..."
