The Grand, York
2rd stay at this hotel. Refused upgrade said not available. Had to argue for a 1 1/2 hour late checkout we did get a one hour late( why not give the extra 1/2 hour we asked for. No free parking mentioned. We never ate at this hotel too expensive. The bar is small and difficult to find a seat except ...

Hotel finished to a high standard. Great location just off Mickelgate bar for socialising and any sights. Hotel also set on a quiet street so a good night sleep!

Middletons Hotel
I liked the history of the property, the location, the bar and dining facilities and the general layout was interesting with additional buildings connected by walkways. The staff were very helpful and polite. I would definitely use this hotel again.
