"We had a really nice 2 night stay, we checked in earlier as our room was ready, which was a lovely start. The hotel was beautiful, the service was excellent, the bed was very comfortable, the shower hot and powerful. We enjoyed some nice food in the atrium bar, a lovely afternoon tea in the 1853 restaurant. And some nice 6 oclock gin on the terrace - all with fantastic service. The only negative was the room was so hot it was uncomfortable, a fan was provided and was really needed. There...

"Absolutely gorgeous hotel and I can't believe I got it for the price I did. I stayed alone on business mid week and the facilities were brilliant. A high standard Spa with a beautiful view out of the windows, decent sized gym (although it opened quite late at 7am, not the best when you have an early start - 6am would be perfect) and I even treated myself to a late evening massage (Emily was great). "The best part was the early opening of the.swimming pool etc. without children till 0800. lovely pool, good layout, and receptionist very pleasant. Other staff all very helpful, too. Will be back again, enabled us to explore Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean."
