Conrad Washington, DC

Conrad Washington, DC

8/10 Good
"The room was amazing, and the property itself was absolutely stunning. Overall, I had a good stay, but there were a few areas where the service could have been better. There were several moments when staff didnโ€™t seem as attentive or knowledgeable as I would have expected, even when asking fairly standard questions, such as the cost of valet parking. There were also times when calling Guest Services that the person answering the phone didnโ€™t provide the warm or welcoming greeting I would typically expect from a property at this level. I also felt that the hotel could have been a little more accommodating with certain requests, particularly late checkout. While I understand that late checkout is always subject to availability, it was a little disappointing to see that a 4:00 PM checkout appeared to be available as a benefit for certain American Express guests, while there seemed to be much less flexibility otherwise. That said, the staff did make an effort to accommodate where they could, which I appreciated. Aside from those service-related issues, I really enjoyed my stay. The room was excellent, the hotel is beautiful, and the overall experience was still a good one. With a little more consistency in attentiveness, hospitality, and guest accommodations, the experience could have been exceptional."
