There is so much to see in Washington, one could go back again and again. The excellent Smithsonian museums are free. The city is fairly walkable, and the Metro goes everywhere, with escalators and elevators, so no need to drive in the Capitol area.

I wish we'd made dinner reservations in advance! Luckily we found excellent food at Proper 21 and others nearby. We toured the cherry blossoms, historic buildings, free museums etc. We used the Metro, Circulator and Metro buses, and lots of walking!

Very clean and safe neighbourhoods. Super friendly staff everywhere we went. Locals are also super helpful. The City is easy to navigate, excellent Metro trains, so no need for taxis at all. Washington is definitely a City to visit on a wish list.

Do your research. In order to get in some touristy places you need to ask well ahead of time. e.g. the White house you need to ask your congress person to OK it. ther government tours require a time pass which some are booked many days in advance.

DC is great for food and culture. Driving to and in the city can be a headache, to say nothing about parking. I rely on the Metro and Uber when it's too far to walk. But DC is dazzling, beautiful and worth the hassles for a weekend excursion.

I always feel safe walking around DC sticking to the tourist locations (museums, restaurants, monuments, etc.). It's a beautiful city - especially at night. It has tons of shopping, restaurants, theater, things to do and a safe Metro system.

We love DC! Metro, Circulator and other buses make it easy to get to many museums, historic sites and Kennedy Center. We especially love art museums and opera but there is plenty in DC for all interests. DC has many great restaurants too.

My son and I came down for a Washington Wizards basketball game. We were also able to visit the White House, the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, etc. It was my son's first experience with riding the Metro. We really had a great visit.

The DC area always has so many places to visit and enjoy at a reasonable price. The majority of the museums are free and offer quality exhibits. We loved the variety of restaurants in the city. Looking forward to visiting DC in the future.
"The hotel was in a great location and the rooms were clean. My only complaint was the pool. I specifically chose the hotel for the pool not knowing it's closed from 2pm on the weekends for a 21+ event. I was there with family. If I knew about that I would have chosen a different hotel. It was very disappointing as I was there for a long weekend in the heat of summer"
