"What a find! Fantastic location and beautifully maintained gem of a hotel, steps from Buckingham Palace and the tube station. The staff were knowledgeable and incredibly helpful with suggestions for places to eat (the Bed of Nails pub was excellent)and options for getting to Heathrow airport. "The Rubens is a fantastic hotel. We only stayed one night, but will definitely stay there upon return to London. The location cannot be beat, only a block or two from Buckingham Palace. The staff absolutely could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They really were fantastic!! The room was comfortable. We had a view of the Royal Mews. Breakfast was amazing. I really cannot say enough nice things about the hotel. Highly recommend!"

"We did end up in a chamber room. I felt being the in the basement I should informed when you book room. It was cozy and clean however it was so small no where to put your luggage. The bathroom room shower was a decent size. Because you are in the basement a night light seems appropriate for the bathroom for middle of night use time. Two people can not be in the bathroom at same time. Our bed was comfortable and room was clean. The only daylight was a patio door that opens to another...
