"Checked in on Thursday the 5th of March. Woke up to a flooded bathroom and entryway because a pipe burst. Had to repack and switch rooms after being in limbo a few hours. New room no bathroom lights and the a random 130 am dominoes delivery guy banging on our door waking us up for food that was not ours. No more stays here"

Furnished in period antiques and featuring carefully restored and maintained rooms, but with a few modern upgrades, this home is fantastic. Several specific criticisms: 1) gym is tiny and very poorly equipped - no free weights and no functional trainer and only four machines total (two bikes, one elliptical and one treadmill), 2) Restaurant was closed for renovations forcing you to eat breakfast in the lobby area which had few tables and is right next to...

"Hotel Emeline was a 5-star experience. Existing pictures and reviews don't do this place enough justice!!! We were on a girls' trip (4 girls in their early 40's from all over the US) and we would stay back here in a heartbeat if returning to Charleston in the future. The hotel has such a welcoming atmosphere - it's stylish, modern, clean and the staff are wonderful! Not to mention the on site coffee shop and restaurant are both incredible and food and Bev quality were outstanding! We went on...

"Stayed over the weekend of March 6-8. Great location. Surrounded by shops and restaurants. Rooftop pool and restaurant are great. Hotel was very clean as were the rooms. Bathroom was large and had a tub and a standup shower. They offer hot tea, coffee, OJ, and pastries in the morning. Cookies in the afternoon. On every floor! Would def stay again!!"
