Kid Friendly Hotels in Truckee

"There’s a saying that, you get what you pay for. My buddy and I have never stayed at a Motel 6 and left the same night as we booked it and was there for 15mins. This place, Truckee was a last minute pick up. Let me tell you that it was so worth it. The staff were super nice and the breakfast was superb! We stayed 3 nights and it was the best choice ever and so worth it! Thank you to the kind staff and the hospitality they all provided! We will definitely make this our preferred choice when visiting Reno!:)"

"Everything at the hotel was amazing. The 3 bedroom suite had plenty of space and all of the kitchen appliances you could have wanted. We had breakfast and dinner both days in the hotel without having to spend extra money going out to eat. We also were able to utilize the dvd player and dvd free rental for our family to watch some movies in the room. The rooms were great in size and the laundry in the room was the main point as we were able to wash and dry clothes so when we travel back home we didn't have to worry about extra loads of laundry."

"The Inn at Truckee is clean and centrally located for easy access to the historic town center, new business district and bazillion trails in the area. The continental breakfast is good and the staff are helpful and friendly. I only stay at the Inn at Truckee when I’m in Truckee, CA."

"We ended up going on a diff weekend due to storm blocking roads. Nice they allowed us to change despite policy. However few problems with our stay 1. Housekeeping. We asked for extra comforter / duvet as we had 4 guests in that each preferred own blanket. Multiple times had to re-ask as housekeeping kept taking them during cleaning and turndown. On top of this there were some shelves covered in thick layer of dust. Superficial job. 2. Food was OK. Manzanita was decent but lobby and taco place weren’t very good. 3. Main pool and hot tub closed for maint. Spa pool was open for use but was looking forward to hot tub. 4. Ski in / out not possible due to lack of snow — sometimes a ski Sherpa from Northstar would help drive down guests, but only if you had a lesson otherwise they’d fuss. So either hike down mountain with skis or take 2 gondolas."
