"Parking was good. The air conditioning cooled but was loud and blew on us in the bed. The rooms could use blackout curtains. "

"The Gables is a magnificent 19th century building. The owners have done a great job of decorating and restoring to reflect the period of the home. My wife has dietary restrictions, and the staff fully accommodated her. Breakfast is served at eight, but Cesar gladly fed us at 6:30 so we could catch a flight. "so check in was a mess as they would not let my wife check in without me as her name was not also on the reservation. i understand there are security issues but I assured the front desk she was my wife and i was authorizing her to get a key. I was asked to call central reservations but they were useless and could not help me as the reservation was made through expedia. I was able to get expedia to add the name and the hotel eventually let her in. but should not have been so difficult for my wife...

"My room was a dream. I slept so well and so soundly. The building is lovely and the location is very convenient, with minimal neighborhood noise. I had a great stay and absolutely would do so again in the future!"
