"Absolutely fabulous place to stay in Bangkok! Great location, great facilities and very helpful staff. We stayed in the Krungthep Wing and absolutely loved the spacious room with balcony and view over the river. We were in Bangkok for a conference for 9 nights and chose the Shangri-la for our stay, even though it was a bit out of the way of the meeting venue, and truly enjoyed the spa/gym/tennis courts before and after work. Breakfast is excellent, and even though the hotel was fully booked it never felt crowded. And there is everything you will need in close vicinity, including a night market, convenience stores, laundry services, tailors. Highly recommend!"

"The hotel is hidden in some backstreets, but it is modern and well worth considering. Being where it is keeps it nice and quite. They put a free tuk tuk on that takes you to the BTS or half way to IconSiam which is a huge help to getting around. Staff were always friendly and readily available. The hotel is clean and well kept, with the small restaurant is lovely. The only downside, and this is picky, the pool is at ground level so misses early Sun. The water is pretty chilly until the sun gets up and hits it but that shouldn't be a deal breaker as you're better off getting up and out exploring before the heat of the day. Great hotel, good location, friendly staff and valuable amenities. Would recommend and would stay here again"
