"Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. This is our second time staying and it definitely won’t be...

"Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships."

"Great guest house, great room, great en suite, great breakfast and friendly attendant. Probably the cleanest place we've stayed in. Very close to the railway station and only a few minutes' walk into the town centre. You could hear a bit of traffic but it soon blended in to the background."

"Staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival and lovely to speak to throughout our short stay. The hotel is immaculately kept and tastefully furnished. Our room was spacious (family room with a queen bed and bunk beds for our 2 children was a dream for them) and had great amenities. Bathroom was clean and basic toiletries were supplied along with shaving and dental kits. Enjoyed our short stay and would highly recommned."

The staff at reception were great at our check in and were extremely helpful with our luggage storage at check out and on departure to the cruise port. "Zimmer war in Ordnung, für eine Nacht völlig ausreichend. Leider keine Klimaanlage in den Zimmern. Die Fenster können nicht ganz geöffnet werden. Direkt neben dem Hotel ist eine Filiale von McDonalds mit entsprechenden Geruch."
