"The older lady we first encountered at the check in desk was a total grump. Thankfully when we came back a little later to check in, we got a much more pleasant lady. We stayed in one of the east rooms, which we felt were very outdated and in need of repairs , but I guess it was typical of a national park room. The hallways were dark and dreary. Dinner at the tavern was wonderful but breakfast in the morning was horrible and cold. Coffee pots were empty and employees I. The dining hall were not helpful and acted like they didn’t want to be there. Would stay somewhere else if we return to the area."
"Good size room, comfortable beds with clean linens and sheets. Noise outside the room with people slamming the doors starting early in the morning. And if you are a light sleeper the in room air conditioning kicks and out throughout the night can be annoying. But all in all we had a great stay."
"Property was really nice and nostalgic. We pushed in just for 1 night prior to hiking down the trail to catch a rafting experience. The short amount of time we were there was superb."
"This lodge was nicer than some of the others I have stayed at the National Parks. It was clean and staff was great. The view from our lodge was really nice being so close to the Grand Canyon. I highly recommend this lodge. The only drawback is parking. It’s survival of the fittest to find a good spot or you have to shuttle or walk a mile back to your room. Go on a weekday to get a better parking spot and just don’t leave your parking spot, ever! I hope this helps. Great place, terrible parking. Unless you find a great spot close to your room."
