"Room was great. Breakfast was great. Hotel was sold out so it was full of people. People did not have seats for breakfast. Not enough parking. Very close to the Grand Canyon park."
"The room was fine given that Grand Canyon is a popular destination but the "park dining facilities" particularly are disorganised and involve extensive queuing and a very limited menu. At Yavapai you order and a limited menu is delivered to your table but a canteen self serve would be faster and more appropriate. At Maswik there is a food court but it is even more limited in options. Again there is queuing and then just hanging around waiting for them to cook your order. For families with children this wait isnt pleasant after a hard physical day. Maybe the more expensive restaurants perform better but we didnt stay long enough to compare them.
On the plus side parking was good which was lucky as the shuttle buses don't depart early enough for hiking at dawn. We drove from Yavapi to Bright Angel at 5.30 am and found parking for the day to support our hike. "
