"Did like how spacious layout was for accessible room was very convenient for my husband to use also move around with wheelchair
Was given the wrong room when checked in thought they would have on file ,since charges was made for specific room.
But this was immediately taken care of,we enjoyed our stay!"
"We're here for just one night but the hotel entrance is unassuming, elegant and clean. Check in staff is very cordial and helpful and the room is exactly what we needed for the night - just right for 2. A super comfortable place to sleep (nice firm bed!), AC was going strong (it was a hot day!) and bathroom was perfect. AND for NYC, a very reasonable price and near many restaurants on 3rd Ave. Will definitely come back"
"Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Bellaclaire! Being on the upper west side was perfect for our drive in from Toronto. We found the hotel easy enough and were greeted by hotel staff in the lobby. Our room was ready and very clean and inviting. There were lots of dining options close by and hotel staff were great with recommendations. It was nice to be able to walk to the Museum of Natural History as well as Central Park. The subway was a short walk up to 79th st. and made our adventures down town...
"If you’re looking for a spacious room, this isn’t it, but it’s also not the point. Who goes to NYC to hang out in their hotel? It’s perfect place to rest your bones, recharge, freshen up, etc. It’s also not without its charms. Not sure what purpose this building used to serve, but you can feel the history of this revived walk up. "

At first glance it does not look like a four star hotel but finally it deserves being one: the personnel is definitely first class, the room (201) is very comfortable with an excellent bed and an original and convenient layout, the large windows are perfectly isolated from the (moderate) noise of the street and from the daylight, the 24/7 coffee and tea self service is a good idea even though we would have preferred a Nespresso machine in our room.
