We are not fussy people and would have been happy with a fairly clean, safe room. We received neither. "This lodging is well located, and the staff is very friendly. However, inside the Manor, there is a strong smell of heating oil. There is probably a tank leak. The room was spacious but outdated. The toilet base was loose and foul odors were noticeable. The breakfast is ok but do not expect coffee to be ready before 7h15."

"The proximity to Watkins Glen was exceptional. We were able to get to the Watkins State Park is just about five minutes. Where we were able to enjoy our hike and visit to the lake water front and downtown area. The staff was helpful, we stayed two nights, the staff cleaned the room while we were away and provided us with extra towels. Parking was plentiful and the property was quiet in the evening. "The staff members were friendly and accommodating. the free bottle of wine was very nice as was the complimentary wine tasting. However, the wine tasting samples were extremely skimpy...barely a taste! The facility could use some updating and minor repairs."
