"This place was amazing! The rum was clean but average. No air conditioning but with the window open, fan, and dehumidifier it was very tolerable. The amazing part. .the staff and wildlife! Everyone was very friendly and went above and beyond to assist. Every morning and afternoon the spider monkeys came by the patio. So many birds and other wildlife to see just walking the grounds. If you love seeing wildlife then this is the place for you! "

"Amazing place! It is a little outside the town with an amazing view of the volcano. The property was so relaxing with a pool and shaded areas to hang out. So many birds and a beautiful garden! The actual room was good for sleeping and making simple meals but we spent most of our time outdoors on the property. Would stay again!"

"The property is just a 2 minute drive from La fortuna its in an excellent location that offers both peace and quiet as well as access to great restaurants and activities. The on site amenities are excellent including the restaurant. The hotel staff is attentive, helpful and very responsive. Id recommend Casa Del Rio to any couple of family in La Fortuna! "We absolutely loved our stay at Atenal History Inn. The location is very convenient. The place had so much to offer like the serene greenery, birds, and we even got to see a sloth on the tree. The view of the volcano from the tree was phenomenal. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast every morning. We liked the privacy of our cabana. Its a very family and children friendly place to stay. "

They recently added some new hot springs which was ideal for us at the end of each day, to unwind and relax after our tours. Solid breakfast with a beautiful view of the volcano. "Holy smokes. This property is EVERYTHING. Don’t hesitate to stay here. Watching a toucan fly by the shower and hearing the birds was a core memory. Extremely close within a short walk to the hanging bridges park, which is also well worth the entry. Clean and wonderful staff. "

"We were very pleased with this property, the view from room 27 balcony of the volcano was incredible, we woke up both mornings to see full visibility. Breakfast was delicious, staff was super friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for walking downtown."
