"Grays Court is a beautiful and truly unique place to stay in York. The staff were warm and friendly, the accommodations were full of historic character, and the gorgeous garden made the property feel especially peaceful. "Comfortable room with good amenities but the food at the hotel in the evenings is dreadful and overpriced."

"This is a so so hotel. It’s aging and showing it. The rooms are a little bit pokey and very very basic. The staff are great and friendly, so the stay was okay, but I wouldn’t choose to stay there again. Room accessibility is bad as the bulk of the rooms are a long way from reception and a fair amount are up flights of stairs with no lift access. For the price point you can do a lot lot better. Basic and boring."

"Was disappointed to find that there was no available gym in the hotel, even though it is advertised as such. The sofa bed in the room was broken, as was the air-conditioning. Staff attempted to fix it but didn’t make a difference. When we visited, there was a pile of mattresses sitting in the lobby. Surely there’s a better way to manage this. We shared our complaints with staff at the hotel but they showed little interest so I hope management will take note "
