"We had a lovely stay at Harmony house, a real home from home. The room was simple but delightful with lots of thoughtful extras and breakfast was delicious. Adele was a very friendly and helpful host. We would definitely recommend. "

"An enjoyable one night stay at a hotel where the positive features far outweigh any minor niggles. Attentive and pleasant staff, excellent food, well presented and served in a timely manner. Rooms just bordering on the need for some love and attention, although White Stuff toiletries do a good job in diverting attention from the nasty stain on one of the seats. Decent enough spa facilities, although it would be helpful if the price to swim were included in the booking price."

"Only a short walk from the train station, Wheatlands Lodge Hotel was impressive to look at on first view from the street. Well kept garden at front with seating and tables on lawn. Welcomed on arrival, quick check in, offered a local paper guide to York and a complementary hot drink. The bedroom was comfortable and clean but did look a little dated. "Breakfast was good. Orange juice was very cheap though - not freshly squeezed. Old part of the building is very impressive. Charging for a small bottle of water in the room is unacceptable. Hotel could do with a gym as well."
