"The check-in process was straightforward and welcoming. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful, which immediately made me feel comfortable on arrival. Checking out was also smooth and efficient. My bedroom was clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything I needed for my stay. Overall, I had a very pleasant and restful experience."

"We payed extra for a suite only to find out we where in a separate building away from the hotel and as it was raining most the time we never used the hotel we had no water one morning parking was very limited my advice would book a room that is in the hotel , the room was ok but never had the experience of enjoying the amenities of the hotel The hotel had a nice outdoor area nice furniture etc our building had some old furniture uncared for good location 20 min walk to center of York"

"Smooth check in, room was exceptional and property was in close proximity to the centre of York. On site parking available. Only downside was traffic noise quite loud through the night as room was at the front but couldn’t be helped. Would highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again."

"This was only being used as a overnight pit stop. I shared a twin room with my friend. It was clean tidy & Tea & coffee was supplied. The beds were awful, the mattress sank down to the bed frame. Outside of that nice."

"Room was lovely, but the mattress was obviously old as it sagged in the middle. The hotel is right on a main road so a lot of noise and music playing till very late in the evening. It’s ok for an overnight stay but wouldn’t recommend longer"

"We stayed at this property in May 2026. While the staff were extremely kind and helpful, the air conditioner in our room was not working and they refused to change our room since they were all booked and declined a refund/compensation too. When you pay £137 a night the least you expect is for the air conditioner to work especially when it’s been a hot day and you’re on the top floor of the hotel. Pretty poor for a ‘Marriott’ hotel. Avoid at all costs."
