Old fashioned English Inn with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Tidy room with a modern en-suite shower room. Bed not to our liking but that's very much a personal choice. In a very quiet location with no shops nearby but would recommend for an overnight stay."

"This hotel is excellent. They have thought of everything, from earplugs by the bed to a digital Robert’s radio playing classic fm when you arrive. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Great bar and restaurant and wonderful staff. I have stayed in literally hundreds of hotels and this is up there and way better than a lot of far more expensive places I’ve stayed. If I’m ever in the area this will be where I stay."

"We were given a free room upgrade when we arrived, all the staff were very friendly, room very clean, breakfast very good. Hotel was in walking distance to the main street and the theatre we visited. On ly stayed one night but very pleased with everything."

"We stayed here as a stop over as we were visiting locally. The hotel staff were fabulous. Professional, helpful and informative. The inside space was comfortable, clean and felt spacious. There were places to sit away from our room and we made use of the bar. The bedroom was clean and the bottles of water along with the tea and coffee were welcomed. "This is a lovely and peaceful hotel - the room was cleaned to a high standard, the food was really tasty, with a good menu and well presented food. I especially enjoyed the sea bass and there was a huge selection for breakfast. The staff are very polite and obliging - nothing is too much trouble. The grounds will look lovely in summer, but even in the winter they are still nice. I really recommend a stay here."
