"We attended TOR rooms for a nice getaway before my wife gives birth, we had been approximately 3 years ago and had a great time. Unfortunately with the new owners it has gone completely downhill. Upon entering the room there were around 8-9 large spiders. Ordinarily, a couple of spiders I would chuck out of the window. This time however it was almost like an infestation. I had to kill about 6 and flush them before my wife would even settle. We could not get through to the staff on the phone so...

"We stayed here for one night over the weekend, a pretty little property around 30 minutes walk from central Canterbury. This wasn't too much of an issue as we are happy to walk but it was further than anticipated. We slept so well in the soft bed and liked our little room. "Small single room, nicely decorated and simply furnished. Fabulous view of the cathedral. The place is clean and quiet, I loved it and when I can afford it I will definitely stay again. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful. The breakfast was also really nice and the dining room is very calm and comfortable. One little niggle, the shower was very small and not very powerful. "

"The overall property is in need of care. It is a very interesting, almost grand building but it needs refurbishing and better maintenance. "We enjoyed staying at this Premier Inn which was a 10 minute walk into town. The room was clean and spacious. The meals were delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and it was £10 a night. We would stay again. "

"Generally the standard of hygiene could be improved dramatically , just very dusty and dirty in certain areas. They just need to hoover the carpet more. We had a blocked sink and the water wasn’t very warm despite setting to maximum. I understand other guests had similar issues. Positives were - very friendly staff, comfy bed and oreo snacks were nice"

Since I was on the top floor, this was much appreciated. Breakfast was plentiful starting with continental choices and then a full cooked meal with several choices on the menu.
