"Avoid this Fairfield. Our room had significant water damage (bubbling ceilings and soaked door frames). We reported it immediately, but the GM, Valerie, is now telling Marriott Corporate that 'no one ever spoke to her' in an attempt to block our refund. ​I have the timestamped emails and photos to prove otherwise. It is a sad state of affairs when a brand like Marriott allows a local GM to gaslight guests regarding structural failures. Currently considering escalating this to the Tennessee Department of Health and Daly Hotel Management. They have $547 of my money for a room that was in awful condition for that price."

"Room was drab. Patches of paint that didn't blend in. Curtains Worn. Worn old art. Refrigerator barely worked. Air conditioning was hit or miss for ideal temperature. Breakfast was fine but nothing special or to get excited about. Started discussing checking out a day early 3 days in advance and the hotel refused to change my booking to reflect that so paid for a night I didn't even stay. Front desk staff was usually somewhere else and I would have to flag them down"

"Room was great. Plenty of grab bars in the bathroom. Would have been nice to have non slip strips in the tub as my husband has balance issues and could have easily slipped in the tub. Really surprised these were not installed in the tub as it was supposed to be an ADA room."

The hotel manager stayed with us for an hour trying to get through to Hotels.com to get the situation worked out. We ended up having to buy another room. I am trying really hard to get my money back from Hotels.com since we were not able to use this reservation and yet hotels.com had no problem taking our money."
