"Potts Point is a great area to base yourselves in in Sydney and Spicers is a great "hotel" - actually, that's too impersonal, it feels more like a home away from home. The reception staff are interested and attentive, our room (No.8) was well provisioned and superclean, we were in walking distance of interesting local shops and restaurants, and a short Uber to the CBD. Thoroughly recommend."

"It was my first visit to The Porter House and I was generally happy with my stay. I had asked for a room on a higher floor and away from the elevator, which they were able to accommodate. It was a lovely touch to see my name displayed on the TV when we entered the room, and a bottle of wine and a hand-written card. It's the little things that made the stay enjoyable. "The room tired with scrapes in the window sill area and base of walls all around the room. The main window overlooking Hyde park was permanently fogged over partially obscuring the view outside. I think the seal on the glazed glass has failed. There is mold along the shower curtain area. It’s a large jacuzzi style tub shower and the shower portion is an after thought with an inadequate shower curtain making it difficult to keep the bath room floor dry "
