"The staff were very welcoming even when we arrived very late (23:50) somewhat wet and bedraggled after a horrendous drive in the rain up the M6. We were met with an understanding smile and given clear directions to our room. The room was clean and warm with a comfortable bed. The room overall was a little tired. We would be happy to stay again."

"I recently stayed in a Superior Double Room and was disappointed by the overall experience, particularly considering the premium rate charged. The room itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the hotel benefits from a large free car park, which was appreciated. However, several aspects fell well below what I would expect from a superior room. The room felt somewhat dated, and attention to detail was lacking. "This property is being refurbished and during the day there is constant noise of drilling and banging. The walls of my room were vibrating from the drilling which seemed to be directly above. I received no advance warning of this work and it is not detailed in Expedia’s information about the place. The work starts promptly at 8.30 in the morning although Iheard builders moving around and talking at around 6.50am, which is unacceptable. In addition, there was no hot water on my second morning....
