"The good: The Area you walk around the corner and you are literally within a stone throw of the vatican. The room was clean and big enough for a family of 4 to stay in. Very safe property and retro looking building including elevator. The bad: Zero communication from the hotel prior to arrival, the instructions on how to get in the property on arrival none existent. Even outside where you have to buzz to get in, not clear. Check in desk is in the hallway of one of the floors... Despite arriving at 4pm, the room wasn't ready. Told to go to the square for times ranging from 15 minutes to 1hr. The staff were arguing in Italian goodness knows about what. The city tax they charged was for a 5* property and needed to be "in cash". Slow to give us the keys to our room even then only gave one. Promised to deliver a second which never arrived. No details on how to check out. No one on the desk. For those reasons I can only give it a 3 star rating. "

"Prati Home was a lovely oasis in a quiet neighborhood that was even better than expected. We had three people in my group and we got a top floor corner unit with a wrap-around balcony resplendent with planted flowers and lovely view of surrounding trees, historic buildings, and other apartment units with balcony gardens. The suite unit had 3 comfortable beds for us, hardwood floors, modern bathroom, small kitchenette, a handy glass table, and even a small tv for when we rested in between sightseeing and just wanted some Italian tv on in the background. It was decorated in a lightly Japanese style with nice prints and sliding wooden closet doors. Note to Americans: you'll get plenty of shampoo and shower gel but hair conditioner is not a usual bathroom amenity. The proprietor was very responsive and helpful - gave us a great recommendation for nearby gelato and arranged an airport transfer."

"The hotel was in a great location we walked to all our sightseeing destinations some walk where 45 min Staff was great rooms were clean. Breakfast had a good selection but hot food was only scrambled eggs every day buy you could also get hard boiled eggs. Better breakfast than many other hotels."

"Under the bathroom sink was rubble for work down ( plaster) that i cleaned. The pullout couch sheets were not clean. it took forever to get a brown to clean the room. we were rationed toilette paper, i bought my own and were advised that we would have one set pf towels for a week stay. Thankfully the cleaning lady gave us extra towels,. the front desk was very short and seemed bothered when we asked for direction ( this was our first trip to Rome, Italy and we were celebrating my daughters 16th bday). I have traveled to a lot of places and this is, by far, the worst experience. I am glad that i have seen other places in Europe so I know that this is not the standard of hospitality everywhere! The hotel. upon checkout, failed to properly bill for one night and when I arrived home to Canada, I received an email about , their mistake in not billing the last night. I asked to please send the bill of what I owe and I will gladly pay, I have yet to receive the bill. I had also asked for the receipt of what I already paid and have yet to receive that as well. In the email it was stated that a link will be sent for me to pay and I have yet to receive that as well. I am in the customer service industry and i can confidently say it was the worst customer service!"
