"The reviews I read certainly did not do this place justice. The grounds, views, Checkin experience and services were great. Yes there is a flight of stairs to carry everything up but I planned for that and did an few easy trips. I don’t expect NY hotel luggage service in a country setting. I was appreciative of the ice machine and microwave access that was so useful. Heated up those leftovers beautifully. Birches is the restaurant and they were gracious and considerate and reasonably priced and well stocked with local craft beers. So far, definitely pleased with the experience and outcomes. "

"Staff was quick, knowledgeable, and friendly, The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. While the shower was small, it was clean and worked well with lots of hot water. The 6 AM coffee and Continental breakfast were great. Too many places have nothing open until 7 or later."
