Those white-washed villages perched on volcanic cliffs offer the most spectacular sunset views over the caldera. Spend mornings exploring ancient Akrotiri ruins, then cool off at red and black sand beaches before enjoying local wine at hillside tavernas.
We were here at the end of September so the tourist crowds were a bit less. Lots to do on the island. The best activity was to walk from Fira to Oia (take the bus back). Lots of beaches various types. Sunsets great everywhere not just at Oia.

Santorini holiday is in my bucket list it's a dream came true, watching sunset overlooking the caldera is breathtaking and the same with sunrise. The contrast of the clear blue sky and the white washed buildings is amazing to look at.

Santorini is a beautiful island. It was pretty busy in the shoulder season but at the level of everything being open (April) but not beach season. If you like cheaper prices and fewer throngs, this is a great time to come.

Tourist bits too busy but Oia sunsets should be one of the 7 wonders of the World. We hired an ATV and drove around the island finding quiet beaches and local restaurants - too many tourists but you can avoid them.

We would recommend the walk to Oia/Amoudi Bay, Santo Wines for sunset, and staying in Imerovigli as a home base because it is central, less crowded, and has the best food.

Great place to visit. Public bus service is very good and covers most of the sightseeing areas and costs €2 per trip. Plenty of food options to suit all budgets.

The staff took care of the proposal with confidence and had everything in place for our arrival. The oasis suite was the most incredible room/suite we have ever stayed in. "We had a great overall experience in the costa grand resort. The studio room was great, early morning sunshine experience from the balcony with sea right in front of you, the nice breeze in the evening, walking by the sea, shops and restaurants in Kalmari area which is happening till midnight. Swimming pool facilities and the cleaning associates will be visible cleaning the properties all the time.
Regarding any other suggestions, I would prefer to have the Main Reception being tagged in google maps/ roads for tourists who are visiting on their own by cars. Since the mail buildings are same, it is difficult to identify the mail reception and no indicators are available to reach the Reception Office. I need to get down and ask resort people to provide the driving path for the mail parking/reception.
