"Wow--this is a beautiful castle and hotel combined. Once in a lifetime experience. It looks just like a castle on the outside, but the rooms on the inside are like a hotel. The problem is that the property is run down and inside the rooms have not been kept up to date. Our AC didn't work well. The door knobs were loose. We rented 3 rooms and one of the showers barely had water coming out of it and it had mold in the bathroom. This could be a world class property if they kept it up."

"This was such a beautiful hotel! I was pleasantly surprised how big the rooms were since we were traveling with kids. They loved the little loft upstairs. Breakfast included was also a plus. It was such a comfortable base for exploring Guanajuato centro! About the noise downtown - I think we stayed when not a lot was going on so not bothered by any noise. "

"The staff at this hotel are amazing. Everyone was super helpful and kind. The views from this hotel are amazing. Surprisingly good wifi. Everything else is average at best, unfortunately. It's not a high end hotel but even for a modest hotel, the constant smell of sewage from the bathroom and the sink is kind of unforgivable. It's also got really poor sound isolation so on Saturday night, we were awake in bed, with all the other loud guests who were running and screaming in the halls until 3am....
