Hotels in San Giovanni, Rome

"Room was very nice and modern. Staff was friendly and super helpful. Breakfast was excellent. It was safe and quiet. Although we didn't use, there was parking inside the property, a very nice feature! Only suggestions I have are minor things that make life easier - towel racks, any kind of shelf in the shower, some kitchen basics like plates and silverware and a microwave for those excellent Roman restaurant leftovers. "

"Wife and I had a great time at the location. Easy check in, easy to find, and a few blocks away from the metro station (3-5m). The bed was comfortable and the fact there were extra pillows available was great. My wife and I walk a lot (clocked over 480km in Japan over 3 weeks) - we stayed in Rome for 3 days and walked about 20-30km/day. The Colosseum is roughly a 20m measure walk from the guest house and there are some great Cafes along the way, a few general stores, and some markets. It's a few stops away from the main train station so easy to get to! Also some terrific lesser known Roman Sites in the area (walls, etc). Area has a lot of graffiti (seems normal in Rome since my last visit 10 years ago). Outside of that we felt very safe. It's 15-20 minutes by metro to the Vatican Museum. It may seem like it's far away on aap but it's a great location."

"This property is a few minutes walk to the metro and just down the block from a grocery store. A neighborhood & business location for locals, and we found some cute restaurants a few blocks away. Hour long walk from Trastevere, 30ish minute walk to Colosseum. Ubers will cost about 20€ - 30€ to get to all the monuments one way. It was 75€ to get to the airport. The daily service and breakfast was re-stocked and free daily. Bed, pillows, and sheets were very comfortable and memory foam. We slept like rocks. The owners were so fast to answer any questions on WhatsApp and the instructions very clear and detailed. Thanks Alessandro and Francesca for a great stay!"

"Unfortunately, there was mold in the bathroom that we started to get sick from it and didn’t even want to shower in it. The window that was above the bed would not close and mosquitos would come in. We let staff know and they did get us a little plug in fly killer but it wasn’t enough. We found it dusty. This could be just our room which there are 3 in this place. We got the third one. Neighborhood was ok, but still a walk to get places."

"Our room was next to a busy road thus it needs better sound protection windows. The walls also needed fresh paint job badly."

"Check-in was confusing I had three different phone numbers contacting me on WhatsApp telling me to contact someone else however they arrived when we did luckily. It is a bit far from the tourist area and sites, about a 25 minute walk to the colosseum is the closest attraction. The air conditioner didn’t work and it was super warm inside and if you open the window it’s extremely noisy in the area makes it very difficult to sleep. We only got one big towel for showers for two people and ran out of toilet paper and couldn’t find any extra in the entire accommodation. Also one morning the lights went out and we had an early morning where we had to get ready in the dark… the area is safe and close to public transport but really if you’re staying more than 2-3 days or looking to be closer to everything you go to Rome to see, I wouldn’t recommend the place. "
