"We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in this almost 8 century old hotel with Alice in Wonderland maze of hallways, tilted floors and lichen/moss encrusted roof tiles. Location is perfect, rooms quiet/clean, beds comfortable, staff kind and welcoming. "

"Room had mould and not very clean. Paid for bed and breakfast but we had to leave early and they couldn’t provide breakfast, again tried to charge us again on the way out. Music was blasting all night and got no sleep. "

"In an excellent location across the street from where the action is and a short (and beautiful) walk from the train station, this seven-room hotel is dated and quirky, but the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were crisp and new. Beware, the stairs are not for folks with the slightest mobility issues. I’d recommend it to people willing to trade ultimate modern comfort for the sake of inexpensive accommodations. "

"This property is perfectly located in the centre of Canterbury and extremely well priced. You are within walking distance of everything you want to visit. The rooms are small but adequate for a short stay. My only gripe is the low pressure on the shower. The breakfast was fine and certainly set us up for the day. Sanjeewa the host is a real pleasure. He was always available and was constantly checking that everything was okay. He is worked to the bone and is a real gem for the property owners. "

".This place was just okay. The room itself was fine, but when we arrived the heating was on full and it was unbearably hot. The window only opens a tiny amount, so there was no way to cool it down properly. We asked for the heating to be turned off, and the staff member did do that, but the radiator still seemed to be on — just slightly less hot. Because of this, we couldn’t sleep. In the morning, there was nothing left for breakfast, so we had to go elsewhere. It also seemed like there was only...

"Howfield Manor is a really lovely hotel. Quite a unique venue. The staff were so helpful. This is my second time at the hotel yesterday was for sisters Celebration of Life. We were in the marque which was beautifully laid out, the food was extremely good and the staff were very helpful. We had a lovely room which was very clean and we had a superb view of the gardens. Highly recommended."
