"Fast elevators - 6 of them so there was never a long wait. Room is small yet functional. Amazingly quiet considering the location right off of the Lincoln Tunnel. Could see the buses going in and out of Port Authority. Safe area with lots to do. My only complaint would be the lack of ventilation and weak A/C. The rooms are probably overdue for a renovation."

"The wifi was not good. The continental breakfast is not worth the money. The restaurant barely acknowledges you if you thr coupon and then either don't serve you or serve cold items. The room and hotel are nice, but small. The staff are helpful when you can find desk staff. For the cost expect more, but it is an historical hotel and that is good."

"Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was very easy to get around Manhattan as there was a subway station very close nearby, about a 3 minute walk. The hotel itself is well maintained and I found the rooms to be a good size. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend hotel."

"Room was clean. It was extremely small but totally fine for the location. Location is unbeatable. Bath drainage was clogged in our room. I had to clean it myself -- a one minute job Do not book with breakfast. It is not buffet. Lots of other options for breakfast in NYC."

"No coffee in the room!! The hotel desperately needs an update. Its age really shows. It’s just not worth the prices they charge. And it’s so busy and full so they just aren’t investing in the property. The carpet and wallpaper are dreadful. The paint is dirty and needs a fresh coat. It really needs to be redone. The rooms really have no amenities other than TV, WiFi, iron and hairdryer. We had to switch rooms because the blinds were broken, the bathroom door was swollen and barely shut and made...

"We travelled as a family of 4 adults and were given 2 queen size mattress. It was adequate for us and comfy. Only gripe I had with the bed was that the bed frame was atop a metal base with sharp edges at the base plus the frame was held together by clasps which jutted out! I had the unfortunate incident of grazing against it twice wand caused a cut both times. I’ve mentioned to the front desk and the lady apologised and said she will notify the management about it.
