Management Reversed Written Agreement & Ignored Guest Safety
My experience at The Goethe Hotel Roma reflects a severe breakdown in management integrity and guest protection.
Management explicitly approved a proposed solution in writing. Upon arrival, the Front Desk confirmed and implemented that agreement. Hours later, the hotel reversed its position, claiming there had been a “misunderstanding,” and demanded a significantly higher rate.
Emails from management were later treated as if they carried no authority. Confirmation messages were ignored. Compensation promises were withdrawn.
This is not a pricing dispute. This is a credibility issue.
Even more concerning, housekeeping entered my room without knocking while I was inside. No explanation or acknowledgment was provided.
Written commitments were denied. Staff were left contradicting management. Guest concerns were dismissed.
For a property affiliated with SLH and connected to Hilton Honors, this level of inconsistency and disregard for privacy is alarming.
Travelers should be aware.
