"The pub is an old building, therefore there are things that cannot be changed, so if you are a light sleeper and cannot use ear plugs this may not be for you. It was not an issue for us. "Fantastic spot. The rooms are modern, clean and the beds extremely comfortable. Felt like a modern hotel and not a classic inn. Staff seemed a little grumpy, maybe the heat! Rooms have AC which was great. They offer Bristol airport parking fee and you can taxi to the airport so it's a great spot if you're flying in and out of Bristol. We used it as a halfway point from Cornwall to midlands. Just 7 mins to cheddar gorge. Highly recommend."

The down side was the food, the kitchen had strange ideas on a poached egg.The yolk on the eggs in the Eggs Royal l ordered were hard boiled, separate from the white and spherical as if it had been cooked in a melon baller.
