A very pleasant stay at “The Carps”.
Very pleasant, helpful, friendly staff.
The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and roomy shower room.
The room layout reflects the history of the property with a couple of shallow steps between the bedroom and shower.
We stayed for dinner and were rewarded by a tasty meal. A good selection of vegetarian options. Our usual habit of swapping plates half though very much went by the board.
Breakfast was very good with both millennial and traditional dinners accounted for.
A fantastic place to stay.
This is an absolutely lovely traditional pub with really nice, modern, clean rooms! The staff were very friendly and professional. I will definitely stay again when I am in the area!
I had a lovely stay at the carpenters arms. The room had everything I needed and was comfortable. Nice toiletries in the bathroom and a fab bath.
I had dinner and breakfast as part of my stay. Dinner was delicious with a good variety of options. Dessert was yummy too. Breakfast was a two course affair with local produce - the best orange juice I've had in some time! I'd definitely visit again.
The hotel is very quiet and in a beautiful location. Staff were friendly and helpful. The pub side of the Inn has a great selection of drinks and is very cosy. Breakfast is prepared to order and fantastic
A lovely pub with comfy rooms, the room did look bigger in the photo or it may just be my eyes.
I think the evening meal is slightly over priced. Steak, chips and salad £25 and Over cooked, I guess we can all make mistakes. Breakfast was fantastic.
Staff are very friendly and all very professional. A lovely atmosphere.
Lovely place to stay, the staff were professional and friendly. Food is fantastic, breakfast is cooked to order.
The room was great, everything you need for a good night. Would definitely recommend.
I have stayed in plenty of Inns like this over the years, but the service here was better than most, the food was exceptional and the bed was super comfy. Considering the price, it was actually exceptional value as well.
Well managed booking in with the Covid restrictions, extremely comfortable and stylish room, first class shower room and a wonderful nights sleep on the bed. Good beer and food, be back without a doubt, all service was delivered with a smile!
This place is an old country pub that has been tastefully decorated to have a proper homely feel. The bar and restaurant area has lots of little nooks with comfy seating areas and tables that feel private even though there are lots of them. The rooms are quirky and comfortable. Food is excellent. Staff are very helpful and friendly. This was our second stay and we will definitely be back.
