"Room was clean, only issue we had was the toilet roll was not replenished, so had to find someone to replace them. Breakfast was good, the danish pastries not replenished until requested."

"We just had one night stay wishing to relax and decompress. It was perfect. Quiet, the room was lovely and warm (easy to adjust temperature to our own preference), our own hot tub to relax in, fabulous breakfast. Shower lovely and powerful, plenty of towels. Such a lovely stay. Thank you "

"Hotel is right inside the forest. Burley is a short walk. Evening meal and breakfast were delicious. Second time we have stayed and would return. Lots of little extras in the room, nice homemade shortbread and Nespresso machine, heaven. All staff are friendly and efficient. "

"Very nice small 8 (as far as I could tell) room Inn. Clean room, internet good - streamed Netflix OK. Restaurant nice with a few veggies choices. Very close to town center. And they had a decent cider on tap. Car park at rear is quite small."

"Really enjoyed our recent stay at the Moorhill House, the newly refurbished dining and bar area is so relaxing and looks lovely. The new owners have done a wonderful job and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. It was not our first visit and definitely won’t be the last. "

"The room was perfect, lovely bathroom as well, however the hotel experienced a power outage overnight & therefore there was no hot water, lighting, no hot food for breakfast - and for whatever reason the toilets wouldn’t flush, which nobody seemed to realise. We had to pack the relative darkness looking for our belongings from the lights from our phones, and finding a way down the corridors in a huge sprawling hotel in the dark was quite tricky. I realise this is not exactly the hotels fault but they didn’t do anything to ease the process. Every room that morning was freezing. They didn’t light any of the fireplaces or provide any form of apologies. We left somewhat disappointed."

"This was our third stay at Sandy Balls. The housekeeping staff work tirelessly and the units are always spotless. We have a welcome gift for our dog (which is much appreciated!) and the facilities are great on site (the restaurants and pool). Some of the other residents were not so great, but that is to be expected on any UK staycation type place - unless you have the entire place to yourself, there are always people that don't get along. The Sandyballs team (Especially the out of hours wardens) are amazing and so polite, kind and helpful. We love staying here, despite the freezing cold february weather!"
