"Fabulous stay - loved it! Breakfast hamper was absolutely wonderful, though we couldn’t eat it all. Plenty of parking. Key code entry gives more flexibility as to arrival times, which suited us as we were spending the day and having dinner with friends so didn’t arrive till late. Brilliant one night break, will return without a doubt, and have already recommended to friends."

"Wonderful stay in a magnificent historic building with friendly staff, fantastic views and great food. Our room had a view of the forest where we saw deer & rabbits wandering by. "All staff were extremely friendly and down to earth. Very warm greeting by the owner on arrival introducing herself and giving a brief history of the business. Showed us around and explained how things are done with the bar, breakfast etc. even introducing us to their pet, Lionel the parrot. We were given a choice of 2 rooms to pick from. "Loads of parking. We had a Ground floor room which was very large and quiet. We booked last minute over the August bank holiday so it wasn’t cheap and the pub doesn’t serve breakfast. Manager is really helpful and nice pub. Very near the New Forest for walks. Would only suggest for the price would have expected some additional toiletries "
