"We stayed in a family room with our dog. There was a welcome pack for the dog including a toy, treats and poo bags. They also provided bowls, towel and a bed. (Saved us getting the dog bed out of the car) We still used our dogs bowl as she's a miniature. "I booked two nights for myself and my 12 yr old daughter. I was looking for somewhere with a bit of character, that was away from all the noise and bustle, had a good breakfast to set us up for the day and food available in the evening. I was not disappointed. The Weary Friar was such a great little find, a proper country pub with great food (nothing too fancy), friendly staff and peace and quiet to wake up to. Will definitely head there again!"

"Didn't like repeated auto emails asking for self check in and credit card details for incidentals. Didn't like silly health and safety window locks that didn't allow airflow into room. Fans are not at all adequate on hot days. I wonder where health and safety stands if one faints due to the heat on hot days or the risk or access if there is a fire. I did like that reception staff was very helpful to find me another room on the cooler side of the building. TVs need upgrading to Smart TVs. "
